We think that Toby was an abused kitten. He'd not let us near him and he'd FREAK if we did. Couldnt even pat him. His food(OMG weightmanagement adult food) and litterbox was in the bathroom next to the toilet apparently when my boyfriend picked him up. 6 days later he's now running around through all the rooms, slept with us last night, very vocal and purrs sweetly! We can touch him now and he rubs against us. He doesnt like to be held long before he starts to meow sadly to get down. He's coming around and I'm so happy he is trusting us =)

So, One day my boyfriend tells me, Late in the night he fed a cat. A cat?! Great... The next morning I see the cat! She is pregnant and STARVED!! AWW, she now comes daily and shes been inside the house a couple of times. She will not let Ollie near her but she lets me and my boyfriend. Lately though shes let ollie around her but not to close. She is adorable!! Cute double paws and a big belly. Honestly I hope she has the kittens here so I can take care of them and give them good homes cause I hate to see her have them in the wild. Days I wonder were she goes. I think the owner of her booted her when she got pregnant =(

Many experience changes in moods and behavior, feelings of exhaustion, and most of all depression from the lack of sunlight. As daylight starts to diminish at early hours, millions of people suffer from a mild case of winter depression called the winter blues. The winter blues is a bummed-out feeling spawned from unrealistic expectations, unpleasant holiday memories, the inability to be with family, or the confinement of cold weather. This wintertime depression can last for few days or through the whole winter season.

Winter brings about colors associated with sadness, blue and gray making your home feel cold, empty, and depressing. To uplift your spirits think about decorating your home in colors reflecting the sun; the warm colors of red, orange, and yellow. These colors evoke the images of fire and heat, enhancing feelings of warmth and happiness. The colors of red overcome depression, encourages activity and escalates body metabolism. Oranges brings joy and heals grief. The yellows stimulates your mind, clears your head from headaches, and reduces depression.

Another way to beat the wintertime blues is to get plenty of exercise to improve your mood and reduce stress. Briskly walking from place to place, taking a run, skiing, sledding and having a snowball fight have all proven to help sufferers of the blues feel better. Do chores or exercise with home equipment such as a treadmill or stationary bike. The more you exercise to restore your body's balance the less likely you will suffer from the blue's stresses.

"You are what you eat" holds true when depression creates an urge to indulge in high-sugar foods that gives temporary liveliness, but eventually decreases energy. In order to maintain that energy people tend to overeat and gain weight. The best thing to do is to eat healthy. Eat foods that are naturally carbohydrated, like pasta, rice, and fruits. Try whole grain breads and crackers, or starchy vegetables like corn or potatoes. Eat foods that are high in Vitamin D, which increases serotonin levels and supplements rich with B-complex vitamins, taken daily can help improve your energy level and reduce anxiety to eat.

A winter blue's symptom is the difficulty of waking up in the morning. This happens because the mind tells the body not to wake up when is still dark out. When a person does wake-up they feel tired and are melancholy. Studies have found those suffering from the winter blues experience relief from light therapy. Light plays an important role in our health and the amount of time exposed to it affects our performance. As the sun begins to rise in the morning the light that makes its way through our eyelids is recognized by the pineal in our brain. The shortage of light in the winter is what affects our hormonal balance causing the wintertime blues. That is why it is important to expose ourselves to a good amount of bright light.

If you know that you suffer from a mild case of depression because of the winter, you can start preparing in the summer. Enjoy the long hours of sunlight, meditate outdoor, and absorb all the suns energy into the body at least everyday to increase storage of serotonin. Getting ready in the summer will keep you doing the same routines throughout the winter keeping the blues away. Some people take medication to cope with the winter blues, others just move closer to the equator so they can enjoy the longer sunny days. But for most of us, winter is hard to escape from and the best thing to do is to take care of ourselves mentally and physically. Keep moving, eat healthy and uplift your spirits, because spring and summer eventually come back.

FINALLY...70!

Saturday I leveled my world of warcraft priest to 70! I really wanted to get 70 before the expansion comes out! I honestly didnt think I would be there but I had an annoying =P friend keep pushing me, which I would like to thank. I was level 61 when I met my new friend a couple of weeks ago. I actually thought "she is a she". ONLY because the first day that I met her, she was needing to afk to feed her son. WELL, lets just say that SHE is a HE, I never thought I would mistaken that LOL. I was just so excited to meet a friend who I can play with. I have solo'd my way up! With the exceptions of my boyfriend running my through a couple of instances!

Frustration to beauty!

I have been meaning to take pictures of these flowers for a week now but phyiscally never had the energy. So while I was out this morning I took the opportunity. I named this frustration to beauty cause this started out at the deck. I didnt want to get my pj bottoms wet from the dewy grass.

This bush of flowers are surrounded in sunflowers! LOL

I changed my pj's and went out and got close ups!

I finally get up for closer close ups LOL

and this turned out a little blurry but its still pretty. I have one that is focused but off center LOL So I pick the blurried one over off centered! Its too early in the morning to care!

Blooming Flowers!

More flowers are starting to appear in the yard! These are soo pretty! This flower is actually tipped backwards so I could get a picture cause its facing the deck inside of the yard!

Cant see my fingers in this one! LOL

This came out little blurry cause I was shaking while holding the camera and tipping the flower backwards.

I was disappointed with it blurry again but I couldnt see as I snapped it!

I had the camera to close for this one so it blurried again!

LOL this was "Ok i'm done" and let go while taking the picture!

Dead leaf or Ants?

When I was done with taking pictures of the birds, I walked back up to the deck and there are sunflowers in the front. I happen to glance down and saw the leaves looked like they were dying. I appeared closer and THEY ARE ANTS!!! I couldnt believe it. They are all over the stalk and other leaves too. It was fun watching them for a bit! They eat and eat until the leaf dies!

There are two leaves that are covered in ants that you should be about to see. One on top and another on the bottom.

This is somewhat a close up of the top leaf. The deck rails where in the way.

This is the bottom leaf! Looks like they are making a new home!

WOW! Ants are so hungry! LOL

Sunflowers The beginning!

My landlord planted sunflowers last summer and this year they are getting bigger. Last year they never grew so tall!! I couldnt believe it when I saw they went all the way to the roof!! They are all planted across the property. I'll post more as they grow.

These just started flowering about a week ago!

Birds Oh My!

So I wake up quarter after 6am to help my boyfriend get ready for work. I go outside to see him off to work and when he leaves... BOOM!! Over a hundred birds flew from our trees to the neighbors, all over the street. By the time I got my camera and put new batteries in most were gone =( Doesnt it work out like that? Pretty picture moment only to be gone before you get that picture taken!

Documentaries

If someone asked me the question, What is one thing no one knows about me? My answer would be me liking documentaries. There is just something about them that makes me want to think and expanded my mind.

Documentaries are the most interesting films made, whether there is truth, fact or theories. I think there is always a story to tell. Documentaries are not always boring. I had my share I know for sure.

Wordle.net! I saw it on my friend Keri's blog and thought how neat it was!! She said that SHE was addicted! OMGH this is so much fun!! I entered my blog URL and this is what it made!

Wow and EQ

Couple of joys in my life are playing World of Warcaft & Everquest.

I started playing EQ in 2000 when my brother had moved back home. I was watching him play and just couldnt understand what the attraction was. One day I asked to play and he told me he'll never ever let me play. Eq is nicknamed evercrack lol. So when my boyfriend got the game, I asked if I could make a character. My boyfriend said yes! Woohoo! I was excited to see what the hype was. I now play more WoW than EQ. Once a week I log in and see how its going and play.

A bit of History:

My first character was a Cleric named Seaanna. I joined my first guild when I was level 14 named Coven of the Waning Moon. I was there for 3 months before the guild leader deleted the guild without warning. I became fast friends with Belleri the Shaman from Dawnfire and told him what happen. He said I should join Dawnfire. Dawnfire is my 2nd & last guild. Many years have gone by playing Everquest and I have made some very awesome friends! Currently, I play an Enchanter named Lunasoul.

I started playing WoW in 2004 when it first came out. A friend of mine had given me one of his boxing accounts. Since my boyfriend already had the disks for WoW it was easy to get. I made my first character named Zurie, a Mage. Over the years, I created multiple characters on different servers. Playing off and on. Finally settled on Earthen Ring and made a Horde character. A hunter named Lunazea and a Druid named Desi. I no longer use that account anymore. I bought a brand new account and started over.

The past year I have been playing wow steady. When my friend Keri decided to try out WoW she went to the server Feathermoon. She and her husband made an alliance character. Me and my boyfriend knew few people there. So we decided to transfer our alliance toons to feathermoon. Currently, I play a Priest named Dezae and a Shaman named Daez.

How corny am I to post this? I have issues!!!

Short story!
I won the 50/50 lotto draw at work!!! You'll have to read the LONG story to see how much I won!

Long story!
Its a story behind the winning. Usually every pay Friday we have a 50/50 draw in my division at my work. I work in a call center for Staples Business Delivery. I never buy tickets. It was lunch time and I was up in the cafeteria and there was a center wide 50/50 draw for all divisions. We have OMG like 900 people in the whole call center.

I was near the table watching people buy tickets. $1 for 1, $2 for 3 and $5 for 10 tickets. Most were buying $2 for 3. I knew one of the managers at the ticket table and I finally decided to buy the tickets after debating. I did buy because the proceeds were going towards the company picnic. I bought 10 tickets for $5.

I said, "If I win, I'll give you $5." The other manager who I dont know, said "WHEN you win." Think positive he said! So I said WHEN I win I'll give you $5 and $5 to the manager I knew. I wrote on the back of each ticket of my copy, a character. I W I L L W I N ! ! Then I placed each ticket in and shook up the bowl.

Lunch is over and I go back to my desk. I had 3 minutes left before I had to get back on the phone. I put my tickets on my desk and I prayed. I said "Please let me win the 50/50 draw. If I win, I'll not sign up to get off work early next week, Monday-Friday." My tickets were 718-727. I said my winning ticket was #719.

My shift is over. Its 4pm. The draw was at 4:30pm. Before I left I showed my manager my "I will win!!" tickets and said I will win. She bought 10 tickets too and said she hopes she will. It was 4:10pm when I went to say bye to a coworker and she said why don't I just wait the 20 minutes and see who won. I said "Its Friday, I'm not wasting my time waiting."

While I was waiting for a taxi, I had my tickets in my hand and I prayed again. I said "God, please let me win this money." in my head but then I thought, no one can read my thoughts. So I whispered "Let me win 50/50" until the taxi came. I get home and walked in the door with my phone ringing. I normally don't answer my phone but I recognized the number, my work!

I won $372.50!! with winning ticket #727, my last ticket.

EDIT: I was going to wait until Monday when I got back to work to get the money as I got paid today so I'm not in dire need of it. The assistant call center manager called me and is dropping it off tonight!! So siked!! Grats me!!

Change of Hair!

Its a hot summer and time for a change. I chopped off my hair. I dislike it so far! hehe It has millions of layers in the back, grr! I loved it at first. It was styled beautifully. I wanted something quicky and easy. I have to get up extra early if I want style my hair! It takes 30 minutes!!! I want my long hair back so that I can wash and go! LOL

After seeing The Ant Bully movie when it came out, I saw alot of ants on my step. I remember the jelly bean scene at the end where he dumped jelly beans down the ant's home. Well.. I thought to "feed" the ants brown sugar... I killed them! I became the ant bully! =( LOL
